Each puppy produced here at Love's Legacy is very precious to me. I hope prospective owners will understand the concern I have about placing these little gems over the internet.
You will need to contact me for information on puppies that are available. I never post photos and prices of puppies on my website for the general public to choose from.
I am not a pet store or a "for profit pet breeder" and do not sell puppies to be purchased by just anyone with a credit card or paypal.
Exhibiting and breeding Shih Tzu is a hobby for me, not a business. You will not find us sitting at home with puppies of various ages, ready to go, waiting for someone to drop by and buy one, as if we were a pet store.
My puppies are usually all placed on hold long before they are ready to go into a new home. Potential owners will usually need to wait a little bit to take home a puppy out of one of my planned breedings.

All puppies are placed as pets only, no breeding rights will be given, all puppies must be spayed or neutered. NO exceptions. No stud service is provided, NO exceptions.
I do not place puppies as show prospects, I do not place puppies as breeders. I will not place puppies with a broker, commercial breeder or pet store. We offer reasonably priced puppies as companions only, and do not feel we need to charge thousands to try and make a profit.
I have taken the time to show in conformation to a Championship to ensure I understand what a quality shih tzu is. I have taken the time to participate in obedience to ensure I understand proper shih tzu temperament. I have Veterinarian health tested all my shih tzu to OFA standards to ensure I have healthy sound shih tzu. All this was done before I ever considered breeding my first shih tzu litter.
We are very pleased one of our dogs was Certified as a Registered Therapy dog, as we feel this is a good indication we know what to look for in a stable temperament.
All puppies placed have dew claws removed, are vaccinated and started on housetraining. All puppies have a complete health check by a Veterinarian and come with a written 10 year Health Guarantee.
All puppies are out of parents that are Health Tested to OFA Standards for Congenital Cardiac and Luxating Patellas.
My daughter works at a Vet Clinic, her support has been a great encouragement to me in pursuit of this rewarding hobby.
My Shih Tzu are beloved members of my family, they live in my home as my companions. My females give birth in my master bedroom, each birth is attended to by me and puppies are born into my hands, imprinted on humans at birth. When the puppies eyes open they are moved into my Den/Office and raised in a play area next to me during the day.

I do get smaller then standard puppies from my small shih tzu. If you want a smaller shih tzu you can purchase a puppy from one of my small girls.
